About me

I'm a children’s book illustrator and art director from the Dominican Republic. Here is where I learned to draw so many years ago. As a child, I used to paint so much that I would run out of paper and surfaces to paint on, so if you turned the white rocks on my mom's garden, you would be able to see a whole gallery of my creations. Incontable colors and textures hidden in that quiet, color coordinated garden.

My most enjoyable work is anything children's oriented, like books, surface design and advertising.

Having worked in advertisement for many years, as a designer and art director, I was able to practice and hone my illustrations skills. It also gave me the opportunity to have my work presented to big companies and that's how my journey as a professional illustrator started.

My client list includes Scholastic Press, Unicef, Saint Jude, Coca-Cola, Frito Lays, Scotia bank, Banco Popular, Banco BHD León, Huggies, Juguetón, Jugos Rica, Nestlé among others, and my work has been showcased in different magazines and books, nationally and internationally.
